Chip maker VIA has released a new version of X2 processor called Nano X2 VIA E-Series. Processors Nano X2 VIA E-Series has a core chip 64-bit dual-core processors designed for embedded systems. In other words, you probably will not find E-Series netbook or tablet in the near future, but can be used in televisions, set-top boxes, POS (cash register), or commercial or other business environment.
Nano X2 VIA E-Series will come in 1.2 GHz and 1.6 GHz models. Both chips are built using 40nm design and support of Windows Embedded Standard 7, Windows CE, and Linux. pin chip-to-pin compatible
